Ethno is a platform to build respect and tolerance, to preserve cultural heritage and to ensure that traditional, popular and world music lives among young people and is transmitted from generation to generation. It broadens and deepens the relationships between musicians and cultures around the world, allowing participants to build a greater mutual appreciation of their respective cultures through music. Ethno uses music as a powerful tool to combat xenophobia, intolerance and racism.
Jeunesses Musicales International (JMI)
It is the largest non-profit organization in the world that helps young people through music. JMI manages over 40,000 different musical activities per year reaching more than 5,000,000 young people from around 80 countries. From festivals to competitions, from workshops to school concerts, from masterclasses to jam sessions, JMI covers the entire music landscape embracing all styles and genres. JMI uses the universal power of music as a tool for empowerment and transformation, seeking to make the world a better place for everyone. For us it is a real honor and pride to be able to bring Ethno Camp to Switzerland for the first time.

Ethno Camp Switzerland
For the very first time the Ethno Camp will be held in Switzerland, and we are very proud to be able to offer this opportunity to young Swiss and foreign musicians to visit and learn more about our music, our culture and our region. The campus will run from Friday 18 June to Friday 25 June 2021. During the Camp music and personal experiences from all over the world will be played and shared. During the days there will also be some workshops with musicians from Switzerland who will bring their music and knowledge to all the participants. The event will take place in Roveredo Grigioni, a town surrounded by nature and in the frame of the beautiful Swiss Alps. An excellent opportunity to enjoy our region for those who in addition to music also love nature. The camp will be organized in collaboration with the Grin Festival, a world music event with musical groups and theaters from all over the world which will take place from Thursday 24 June until Sunday 27 June 2021. Friday 25 June, during the Grin Festival, the participants of the Ethno Camp will perform in a group performance.
Concessions are provided for the participants of the campus for admission to the Festival. The maximum number of participants for our first edition will be 40!
